A cause close to our hearts

It began with a mum.
And a promise to
make a difference.

£3,675

raised independently by Lucy
before Webployee existed

Our founder, Lucy Munton, lost her mum to pancreatic cancer just six weeks after diagnosis. That loss is the reason this cause means so much to us.

“As Webployee grows, I want our contribution, our reach and our commitment to awareness to grow with it.”

Lucy MuntonFounder, Webployee

Lucy’s personal fundraising began long before the business. Webployee gives her an opportunity to build on that commitment through ongoing support and thoughtful use of our technology.

“Seventeen years ago, my family and I lost my mum to pancreatic cancer just six weeks after her diagnosis.

Losing her so quickly was devastating. It's something that has stayed with me throughout my life, and it's why supporting Pancreatic Cancer UK means so much to me.

I can’t change what happened to my mum, and I can only imagine how terrifying it must have been for her to face such a devastating diagnosis. I would never want another family to experience what we went through.”

Our purpose in practice

Support that goes
beyond words.

We’re building ongoing support into the way our business grows, while exploring practical ways to share awareness.

A continuing contribution

Our commitment is 5% of website setup fees and 5% of monthly recurring revenue, in line with agreed terms. As Webployee grows, we want our contribution to grow with it.

Awareness on your website

We plan to offer customers the choice to include a link to the charity’s official signs and symptoms information on their Webployee-built website.

A thoughtful signpost

We plan an optional awareness message once a conversation with an AI Employee has naturally concluded, after the visitor’s business questions have been answered.

Before you go, Webployee is proud to support Pancreatic Cancer UK. Knowing the signs and symptoms of pancreatic cancer is important, so please take a moment to learn more and help spread awareness.

Read about the signs and symptoms

Awareness messages link to trusted information. They do not provide medical advice, assess symptoms or offer a diagnosis.

Why awareness matters

Knowing more
can mean so much.

Pancreatic cancer can be difficult to detect early. Its symptoms can be vague and resemble those of other conditions.

Pancreatic Cancer UK funds research, campaigns for better care and provides information and support to people affected by the disease, including through specialist nurses.
